CASEY CONVENING HOUSING AND OPPORTUNITY IN THE BALTIMORE REGION FEBRUARY 28, 2007

Housing and Opportunity in the Baltimore Region:
A Briefing on the Thompson Case and Beyond
February 28, 2007

The Annie E. Casey Foundation hosted an important meeting on February 28, 2007 to illuminate progress made under the Thompson Partial Consent Decree, and to anticipate the ruling on a federal remedy in the overarching Thompson case.  The meeting was very well attended by Baltimore business leaders, educators, clergy, and community members. One of the highlights of the meeting was the personal testimony of former Baltimore City residents who were able to move to areas that afforded them and their families’ greater opportunities. IHI is one of the founding members of the Baltimore Regional Housing Campaign which presented the briefing.
